Did you know that the national average wait time to see your primary care provider is 19 days, depending on where you live. In 19 days you could be either well or dead! The reason for this is that primary care providers have on average 3000 – 3500 patients on their panel. That means they have to see 30-40 patients a day! If you’re lucky you may get 15 minutes with your provider before they have to rush off and see their next patient. This is not, in our view, primary care.
The Patient/Provider Relationship Is The Foundation of Wellness!
At Corrales Family Practice we believe that the patient/provider relationship is sacrosanct. It’s the most valuable asset a patient can have. It builds confidence, it’s therapeutic and it’s essential for wellness.That’s why we limit our patient panel to 500 per provider which means we only have to see 6-9 patients a day. The benefits of this is the gift of time which allows time for Follow Up, Research, Education, extended visits of 30 mins or more and the capability to see you today.
